Announcement : Service Restoration Update
Hi everyone, We are continuing to work as quickly as possible to restore and stabilise all services following the recent emergency server rebuild. This was not a planned migration. It was an emergency response to a global security event involving critical zero-day vulnerabilities affecting Linux/cPanel hosting environments, including: CVE-2026-31431 — Linux kernel privilege escalation CVE-2026-41940 — cPanel/WHM security vulnerability A zero-day vulnerability means the security flaw was being used before a public fix or patch was available. In other words, attackers had a working method of exploiting the issue before server providers and software vendors had time to fully patch and protect affected systems. Public security reporting indicates that these vulnerabilities affected a very large number of servers globally and were being actively exploited across the wider hosting industry. Because of that, we made the difficult decision to shut affected servers down and rebuild onto clean, hardened systems rather than risk leaving customer data exposed. That decision caused more downtime, but it was made to protect customers and prioritise safety. What we are working on now We are still working through remaining restore issues, including: websites showing errors missing addon/subdomain mappings database import issues PHP version/handler issues DNS/IP mapping issues email account access issues If you still have an issue, please email our support desk with the affected domain name and a clear description of the problem. We are working through tickets in oldest-first order so customers who have been waiting the longest are handled fairly. We know some tickets are urgent, and we will get to every one as quickly as we can. Important note about email Email accounts are being restored so they can send and receive going forward. However, our backups do not include email mailbox contents or email folders, as stated in our Terms and Conditions. This means we do not have a server-side backup to restore old emails or old webmail folders from. If old emails are still visible in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, your phone, or another mail app, please copy or move them into a local folder on that device/computer immediately. Once a mail client reconnects and syncs with the empty restored mailbox, those locally cached emails may disappear. Please remember we are people too We understand how stressful and disruptive this has been for customers. It has also been an extremely difficult situation for our team, who have been working long hours to restore services as safely and quickly as possible. Please be kind to the support team. There are real people on the other side of the desk doing their best under very difficult circumstances. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we continue working through the remaining issues.
